On Nov. 3, ten Bike Campaign volunteers presented their Bike Skills Training program for 90, 2nd graders at North Davis Elementary school. Each class had kids in it who did not yet know how to ride a 2-wheeled bike and were well on their way by the end of the session. More experienced riders all learned new things about the rules of the road, riding in a group, using hand signals and how to watch for drivers by shoulder checking.
New bike racks are expected to be installed soon at this school and will benefit from the watchful support of Catherine Brinkley, Timothy Carroll and three bike-loving parents at this school.
