View from the Saddle: I'd Say UCD is Trying

I've heard it said many times that Davisites think UCD needs to take care of their growing population. I always thought, yes, that makes sense. It does make sense.

But then today, bicycling along Russell, seeing housing being constructed next to new housing next to recently new housing and long time housing complexes… going off into the horizon along with the mountain range (or so it felt).

I'd say UCD is trying. I was awestruck with the height and density. Awe struck with the bike paths, with the aesthetics and with the large number of solar panels.

I was thrilled to see how many students were cycling and scootering or boarding to and from campus from these apartments.
